Hall of Joy Volunteers
Join us on Christmas morning as we share the spirit of Christmas with the joy of gift giving. We have gifts for children and goody bags for adults who attend the Salvation Army Christmas Lunch at the Phoenix Convention Center.
This year we are expecting over 3,000 people to join us. Hall of Joy volunteers may fill one of following assignments: Toy distribution to children, goody bag distribution to adult guests or crowd control.
MINIMUM AGE IS 20 (no one under the age of 20 can attend this opportunity) and you must be able to stand for several hours. Spanish speaker is helpful.
Our volunteers participate on Christmas Day from 11:00 to 2:30. A few days prior to Christmas, you will receive information on parking and the check-in location. Wear comfortable shoes, casual clothes (a bright holiday shirt is great) and bring a bottle of water if you choose, but no purses or coats, there is no place to store your belongings.
SIGN UP REQUIREMENTS: ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER ON THIS SITE IN ORDER TO ATTEND!! IF YOU PLAN TO BRING A GUEST, YOU MUST EMAIL MOLLY@HANDSONPHOENIX.ORG IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR SIGN UP AND PROVIDE ALL VOLUNTEER NAMES. DUE TO SECURITY REQUIREMENTS, IF A NAME IS NOT ON THE LIST, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY AND VOLUNTEER.
ONCE THE PROJECT IS FULL, YOU MAY ADD YOUR NAME TO THE WAITLIST IN CASE ANYONE DROPS OUT.
