Family and Youth Volunteering at HandsOn Greater Phoenix
Volunteering as a family strengthens bonds, creates lasting memories, and instills shared values. By working together on community projects, families not only support a good cause but also grow closer and learn important lessons about empathy and teamwork. In an increasingly busy world, volunteering together strengthens family bonds and highlights the value of making a positive impact.
Individuals and families can utilize our Volunteer Opportunity Calendar to easily plug into volunteer projects for causes they care about. At the click of a button, you can sign up for projects that fit around your schedule. Age restrictions vary by project. Check the individual project details for age restrictions for youth attending with and without an adult. Youth volunteers without an adult present must bring a signed youth waiver form to the project with them.
Youth Give Back Bash- June 15-19!
Join us for HandsOn's Give Back Bash- one week of youth friendly volunteer opportunities just for families looking to serve together this summer!
Monday through Friday, June 15th - 19th, we invite families with kids as young as 8 years old to attend one or all five of our featured volunteer opportunities. Whether you want to spend one day giving back, or deepen your impact by participating in all five events, we would love to have you join us! Each event will also involve an educational component to teach youth about the issues our community faces, the work being done to solve them, and how we can come together to make change.

Get started volunteering with youth:
- Volunteers 13 and older can Create an Account with us to track your hours and make it easier to attend future volunteer opportunities
- Your child is under 13? That’s okay! All you need to do is email the opportunity coordinator to reserve volunteer slots
