Thrift Shop Assistants at Hope's Closet
Hope's Closet is New Life Center's social enterprise thrift store, open to both the organization's emergency shelter residents and the local community. Join us at Hope's Closet to collect and sort through clothing donations, move items to the sales floor, and organize clothing racks.
New Life Center's mission is “Helping to eliminate domestic and sexual violence through support services, education, and expertise.” New Life Center provides services to over 1,100 adults and children each year. In addition to a safe place to stay, they provide advocacy, employment services, legal assistance, comprehensive children's services, transportation and outreach services to individual survivors and their families who have experienced domestic violence, sexual abuse, or human trafficking. All proceeds from Hope's Closet go back to our participating families and help to fund shelter operations.
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 14. All Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who aren't attending a project with a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian to each project.

Please note, volunteers 13 years or older can create their own HandsOn account and sign up for opportunities directly (activation fee is not applicable for those under the age of 16).
