Description: You can help preserve some of Phoenix's best-loved ecosystems! Help rescue Phoenix's Mountain Preserves from buffelgrass, a nasty weed that threatens to crowd out native plants and creates a fire hazard. Weeding tools, gloves and other necessary items provided.

Please wear closed-toe shoes, clothing you do not mind getting dirty, bring water and protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen and a hat.

**The location of the project can change last minute, so please be sure to check all emails from the Project Leader for the most accurate details.**

Minimum age for the project is 16 - but a parent must be present at the beginning of the project to sign the City of Phoenix liability waiver and the volunteer also must bring a HandsOn Youth Volunteer Waiver.

Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for projects by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.




By signing up for projects and not attending, you may be depriving someone else of the opportunity to participate and the project of much-needed support.
