MLK 2018: Puppy Pals at Animal Care West Valley Shelter

Maricopa County Animal Care Services cares for more than 36,000 pets in a year. Most of these are young, energetic dogs. Volunteers are needed to help get them out of their kennels so they can enjoy some fresh air and TLC.  For our feline friends, volunteers are needed to brush and pet the cats at the shelter, so they can be loving pets in the future. Maintaining their physical and emotional well-being maintains their adoptability.  So come walk a dog, pet a cat, and help save more lives!

The minimum age requirement for Puppy Pals is 15 years old with a parent. All volunteers aged 16 & 17 who wish to attend a volunteer opportunity without a parent MUST bring a signed Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle, plenty of SPF, and wear closed toe shoes and long pants. Please park in the front parking lot.

By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
