MLK 2014: Veteran Home Painting with City of Mesa
Join us as we give back to a retired Air Force Veteran by painting the exterior of his home. Please wear comfortable clothes that can get paint on them and close-toed shoes. Our military personnel have sacrificed so much for us and this is one of the ways we can show our appreciation. For more information about the Veteran please see below for the biography he provided us with.
The minimum age for this project is 16. Volunteer's ages 16 & 17 who wish to participate without a parent/guardian must bring a signed Youth Waiver Form with them to the project.

Hello!
I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ on July 13th, 1930. I joined the United State's Air Force on June 4th, 1950 and completed boot camp in San Antonio, Texas. The Air Force allowed me to attend two different schools; one in the state of Georgia, the other at Camp Carson, Colorado. After attending school I served in the South Pacific. My rank was Airman First Class and I served for 3 year's & 8 months. I would like to give my regards to all who have served our country for our freedom from the past, present, and future. Thanks especially to all the volunteers.
